SPECIAL NOTES FOR ROOF RACK AND CEILING NETS
SPECIAL NOTES FOR ROOF RACK NETS:
Tie up those loose ends!
Always make sure that your net and load is secured tightly and any extra adjustment strap material is tied up so it cannot become loose and damage your gear, net or others behind you. *Always double check your load after it has had a chance to settle or before entering public roads or highways.
- Crafted with double layered webbing frame and 36" extension mounting straps built on at all points. Completely overkill, but we never want that load to shift or need "constant rechecking" on the road or trail. Gobi-Desert, safari, overloading extreme-duty cargo nets in assorted sizes and so much easier than trying to deal with individual ratchet straps or rope. Place your load up on your rack and place the net over it. Go around the sides and cinch down the net's straps to secure the entire load quickly and easily. Tie up or push under the load any excess ends strap and you are ready to go.
- Measure your safari rack perimeter and allow about 4-5" of clearance for hardware if you wish to contain items below the racks top rails carrying smaller items. If you normally load taller items, spare tires, pelican cases etc you may want a wider and/longer net to wrap completely over your load. Note first two images of the same net, loaded and empty to base your sizing needs when ordering.
- Net sizes are in INCHES (for example first option is a 1" webbing material width, 11" Length x 11" width etc.) Built on mounting straps are typically about 18-24 inches apart and 36" length. Please note: nets smaller than 36" on the shorter sides will not have a center strap built in unless custom built as an option upgrade to do so. We recommend 36" wide or wider for most aftermarket roof racks so that they will incorporate a center strap.
- You may add custom colored stitching, but it is NOT RECOMMENDED leaving the roof rack net on year round as bright threads may fade and lose their brightness. Sun UV, salt and mag chloride are very hard on these colors. If you want to leave the net on full-time it is recommended to match the thread color to the webbing color or select black for contrast.
- Fit example: If you carry really tall loads, Pelican cases, totes etc. we recommend a net about 4-8" wider and longer than the rack frame to wrap over the gear. If mostly bags, tents etc then a net that is just smaller than the rack will be fine. *Additional note for 5th Gen Toyota 4Runner owners: The size 56" x 86" is a larger one-piece net designed to fit the entire Gobi Desert style roof rack is a good suggestion for this type use and shown on some of these sample images on the charcoal grey 4Runner with tote cases up higher.

SPECIAL NOTES FOR CEILING NETS:
- Ceiling Nets are excellent for adding that extra bit of storage for the items you need accessible without having to hunt through the vehicle to see where its stowed. Rain jackets, umbrellas, gloves, hats and books or kid activity items.
- Adjustable with built on cam buckle straps on the corners; or add more as you like, for the bulky items. We've used the net to carry camp chairs, cooking gear and even set up our booth folding tables. Up, and out of the way! This is designed as a DIY unit for most mechanically able consumers, however it is not a drop in kit.
- We have some general installation guides and videos to help in the process but we recommend that you view the guides before ordering and make sure that you have the ability and patience for this project or can locate a competent installer for this project before ordering. These will be built to your specification and generally any vehicle or application use that you may have for these they can work very well as long as strong mounting locations exist. Beyond motor vehicles, these work well in RV's, trailers, vans and even hard top roof top tents.
- To measure: You will need a Length and a Width. You will also need to know how many mount points are required if beyond just the 4 corners. Add additional straps and choose their location in the optional drop down in the product options.
- When measuring width, use the narrower point if not all the same. For example; there may be a few inches between handle mount points and roof pillars (A,B,C, or D) Adjust down to the next smaller size if you exact measurements are not in the available list. It's better to have a little extra tensioning ability than a little loose net for this application.
- Note : This is the storage unit/net only. We offer the most common mounting set as you place this item into the shopping cart. Each mount set will include one PAIR of mounts.
